Technology level: Capable space flight that allows faster than light travel without the need of jump gates. Able to sustain an entire colony within a single Life ship. Most tech is based on psyonics, and little is known about the actual inner workings of life ship tech, however it confirmed to be mainly biological in nature.
Skill Bonuses:DEX-2, WIS-2, INT-1, CHA+1, STR+4
Intimidate+9
Feat:
Offensive Spray- RR/3 -Sends a spray of white hot flame four yards in front of the character dealing fire damage, degeneration armor, and weaponry.
Natural Armor S- RR/0 -Natural protection again, slashing, and cutting, blunt, and peircing damage. DEX-3
Appearance: Appearance varies by caste. Beginning from the top of the caste....
Tankan- The top of every colony, this is the ruling caste of the Utz. This case consists of a mated pair, and their genetic signal"transformers" They make the decisions of the colonies, from war to administration. They are able to do so effectively by using the Tok, or neural network that connects to every Utz.
A tankan mated pair appears as a fused entity. The female, a gangly figure with neural sacks, has the male attach itself to her via fusing.
Bachehokyu- The soldiers of the colonies. These hulking beetles sport large, segmented and curvaceous armor thick enough to stop most small arms fire. The armor folds over the front of their faces, covering its small eyes and other sensory organs. Its mouth is large and segmented, able to crush and grind most types of food.
The Bachehokyu are able to fire a concentrated magnesium and sodium mixture that creates a terrible burning spray.
Manepi- The builders of the colonies. These large creatures sport large, thick forelimbs used to manipulate heavy building material. They build, tunnel, and form material provided to create marvels of engineering. Their spry forms allow for easy maneuverability through the busy environment an active colony provides.
Nip`ita- The "cleaners" of a colony. These small, flat creatures clean and sterilize the colonies waste. They travel through every nook and cranny spraying an acidic solution that clears any foreign matter. They also spray an antiseptic used to keep the colony disease free.
Their are many lesser hierarchy yet to be named.
Culture: Culture changes from lifeship to lifeship, however all Utz are connected by the Tok. A vast neural network that provides the Tankan with the information they need to command the hierarchy.
History: The Utz ancestors emerged from dry, rocky deserts on the hostile world of Ktak. Seven millennium ago, the first lifeship was "discovered" by the galactic community at large. Discovered, as in the lifeship that was mentioned, slammed into the moon of a nearby Nosfrmis colony, creating chaos that rippled through galactic society. The following years were a great period of turmoil as the galactic society at large struggled to deal with a race that failed to recognize other races sentience, and had no concept of territory except for what it owned. This led to several "Wars" with the Utz, many mini-conflicts happened whenever a lifeship appeared in colonized space, and began taking resources or colonizing an already colonized planet.
Individual lifeships tend to hold their own communications code, and as such are very difficult to deal with as the psionic code of one lifeship is not compatible with another. Even if communications succeed, Utz do not recognize factions within another species, and will only deal in one trade agreement for the entire race.
